The building is a steel frame structure with brick masonry and stone highlighted facade. The 130,000 SF building will house the departments of Chemistry, Biological Sciences and Environmental Sciences, as well as, state of the art teaching and research laboratories. The project is designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification. Construction began in June 2007 with completion achieved in November 2008.
